This song details the experience of a lone astronaut facing the immediate solar destruction of his vessel. Knowing the nearing flames of the star will disintegrate his body and ship, he contemplates religion and his past transgressions. As the ship falls apart around him, the astronaut chooses to ingest a barrage of on board drugs in order to ease his transition into oblivion. He is hurdled into space, and as his final breath escapes his lungs he realizes the glory of the celestial bodies around him.
lyrics
Lyrics:
And the armless clocktower doesn't stop ringing
Fall out of the cockpit through the broken shielding ring
Analog signals
parasitic monsters
Decalogue readings running through my brain
Digital circuits
Op-amp directionals
Biblical displays show a cynical migraine
One more pill to sooth my pain
blast-off inside crystal plumage waiting to get closure
Possible probable prodigal solution to motion, ascertain telluric plane
Fall down, spill down
And the armless clocktower doesn't stop ringing
Fall out of the cockpit through the broken shielding ring
Possible probable prodigal solution to motion to ascertain
To maintain the mainframe of my brain
Mechanized failures
Euthanasia options
Oxygen's draining, straining to abstain
And the armless clocktower doesn't stop ringing
Fall out of the cockpit through the broken shielding ring
